We had a lovely trip . Hotel Hochfilzer was great and food delicious. The ski slopes were numerous. Too many to even try and visit all the destinations. Our ski equipment was great and Frederik had boots that fitted him so well, that he got the detail for future rentals. Thank you so much for your detailed info. We were well informed and had a really great time and service from ski-Austria staff and hotel staff. I specifically enjoyed lounging in the pool/jacuzzi after a hectic day. Looking forward to the next holiday. Kind regards and thank you again Hedi and Frederik

We had a truly brilliant stay in St.Anton. Thankfully, all members of our party were experienced skiers, as St.Anton proved to be nice and challenging in terms of piste! (Not a resort for beginners, in my opinion) This was my third trip to Austria, so the Austrian apre-ski was known to us?..but nothing could have prepared us for the ?Moosewirt? and the ?Krazy Kangaru? !!!!!!! Haus Rudi Matt was great in the end! We started the week off less well, when Rosemarie (the owner) laid down the rules in the first minute of our arrival, in a less than satisfactory manner (Michaela was present??..let her tell you more). She, however, quickly apologized and was an absolute darling for the remainder of the week, even offering to do our laundry and baking us a cake on the birthday of one of our party! The Haus Rudi Matt is also the best situated Pension I have ever stayed in???..50m to the main ski lift??..you definitely cannot beat that! To sum up???very happy with the week of skiing (I know you didn?t contribute, but the snow conditions were also perfect, with approx 35cm of snow in the days before we arrived) Will be sure to use your services again??? Kind regards Alan.

Siegmundshof was great we stayed there with absolute 2 years ago the owners are very accommodating they allowed us to stay in our rooms till 1pm so we could ski on sat The south side snow wasn't too good a lot of bare slopes down low for first few days then it snowed and all was good.its a challenging mountain the girls did take strain but there wasn't a slope we didn't ski we covered 235km according to our ski pass. You guys were great everything was done and I place thank you so much I will use you again and recommend you to everyone Keep me updated on end of year early season specials Regards Brett

Thank you so much for arranging and sending us to Ellmau and hotel Hochfilzer. We have had a wonderful week, did some great skiing, met wonderful people and ate way too many delicious meals at the Hotel. The staff were awesome, as well as a huge thank you to Chris for being just a ?phone call? away. Our backpack with all the yummy goodies in on our arrival was a wonderful surprise. I could just drone on endlessly about how fantastic our week was, but I guess that you already know that. We are thinking of returning next year. Kind wishes Annette & Luke Gordon

We all had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel was perfect. The rooms very nice and the food great. We were catered for very nicely as vegetarians. I found the staff helpful and the location perfect. We were able to either take the bus or walk to the ski lockers and cable car every day and we chose to walk as it was very close. The lockers are a great plan for leaving skis in. The ski instuctors were very flexible and amenable to extra lessons or time and very very helpful. We were amazed that we were all able to ski down quite steep slopes on the second day already and by the last day we were very comfortable. The slopes were perfect for beginners and children and varied enough that we never got bored. The snow did melt a lot during the week that we were there but there was enough on the mountains even though there was almost none left on the ground at the end of our week. I think that we went at the absolute best time as the slopes were very quiet from the monday and we never felt nervous of getting in any one more advanced way. I found the 24 hours getting there and back a bit long and although I enjoyed the very nice coach transfer from Munich it is quite a distance.

I certainly did enjoy my stay at the Hochfilzer, and thoroughly enjoyed the ?total package? of Hochfilzer comfort and hospitality, skiing, and experiencing a bit of Austria and its people. A small special memory was the kindness shown by waitress Romana in making up a Christmas carol CD in her spare time at home when I requested from her where I could find such a CD in Ellmau. Such small gestures go a long way in leaving very positive thoughts of Austria and its peoples. Will certainly consider a repeat if I get to go skiing again, this being my first time.
Bernard Robinson - 27 January 2011
WOW! We had an absolutely amazing time in Gotzens?and we would definitely be wanting to go again. The hotel was great- initially the menus were in German, which either of us could not speak, but they starting printing English menus for us. The ski school was well run, well managed and the instructors were extremely friendly. We fell way too many times, but it was all part of the experience. Next time we go, I think one-on-one lessons would be best. And yes, there will definitely be a next time. The place was beautiful, quaint yet so lovely. The experience was really one of a kind. We were in luck, waking up to a White Christmas and snowing whole day! Austria was amazing? Thanks, Inge
Inge Meyer - 26 January 2011
Yes, we had a wonderful time. The Hotel was stunning, the slopes were perfect and the country beautiful. It is a holiday we will always remember fondly. Thanks to all of you at Ski Austria who helped make this possible. Everybody, including the hotel staff, were very friendly.
Adele Kruger - 26 January 2011
I just had to let you know asap that it was great :) We will keep it in mind for next year, as we are definitely planning on skiing again, so we will be in touch!
Ingeborg Stapel - 25 January 2011
Thanks for organizing us a great trip-we had an awesome time and the skiing was spectacular! The pension was excellent and the staff is great- even the food exceed our expectations!- I would def recommend the place and will be returning soon! Thanks again for all your effort in making this happen! Have a great day Justin

Thank you for your mail regarding our holiday in Ellmau! Yes, we did love every minute! Our group of friends is already coordinating our photos and we are planning a get together lunch next weekend. We obviously haven?t had enough of each other. The Hotel, the staff, the food etc, etc were all great. The hotel bathrooms could do with an upgrade but, none the less, we were very comfortable at Hochfilzer and found the location good. We have no problems in recommending Ski Austria and the package we had to others. Our children, Christopher and Alexander, had a fabulous time and would also like to have the holiday all over again. Thanks to you, Thomas and the rest of your team for all your assistance and making it a pleasant and easy holiday experience for us.
Sabine & Chris Immelman - 24 January 2011
We certainly did have an awesome holiday and Apartment Sigl was GREAT!!! Erika who works there is a star!! Very friendly and helpful and assisted us with anything and everything we needed. We had noisy neighbours for 2 nights and she sorted them out very quickly and efficiently. You definitely chose the right place for us,well done.Kids loved ski school which was so close to the apartment and they skied like professionals by day 3 already!! Schuttdorf is a very pretty town and so is Zell am See. We are repeat customers of yours and I tell everybody about ski Austria. I did send you some photos in an earlier mail, did you receive them? Thumbs up for choosing a lovely place for us and our kids to experience their first snow and skiing holiday!!!! Best wishes Regards Lisa

Me, Annelie and the Wells couple had a awesome time. Below some feedback: The initial contact and the quality and speed of responses on the request for quotes and detail made us book with you. Payments, bookings and advice on flights and further travel in Germany were spot on. The Europaisherhof Hotel was close to the main station and more spacious than we expected. The breakfast was very big for continental Europe and the staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel Edelweiss is great. Rooms are big and the balconies add extra space for ski clothing etc. South African staying in the Club Hotel wasn?t as satisfied. The guesthouse feel to the place is also very nice. A bath would have been nice for the sore muscles though. The ski arrangements were very good and the Magic Mountain Crew very efficient. A group from Livigno joined us and could not believe the short waiting times at the ski-lifts. We got Helmut as our instructor and we really enjoyed him. He was patient and helped us to grow our confidence at the appropriate tempo. We would like to go again, and the kids are joining us next time. ..?. especially because of the family focus the magic mountain crew have. The only complaint we have is the time we had to spend waiting for other groups at the airport on the day of our transfer from Munich to Gotzens. Flights that arrive after 13:00 should be on a different shuttle. We left the airport at 15:00 and did a very nice drive to Innsbruck in darkness. The train from Munich and ski bus from Innsbruck would have been a faster option. All in all we did however enjoy it thoroughly, thank you?? now it is saving time again. Karin and I wish to thank you for your excellent service. We had a wonderful time skiing in Goetzens in December and even had a proper white Christmas on top of it. We, unfortunately never met Michaela, but she frequently kept in touch with us via sms and organised all the transfers without any problems. Best regards Edward & Karin Smuts
Edward & Karin Smuts - 31 December 2010
Just to let you know that clients MCCLELLAND had a great time in ZELL. They said the ski Austria rep was so helpful nothing was a problem to sort out! It was a great bonding time for them and MRS McClelland said she regrets not having done a ski trip earlier in her life. The only downside was that she said the NEUE POST had a lot of gay guests so didn?t feel it was that suitable for her sons. (not sure whether it was just a coincidence) and the dinners lacked variety. Otherwise an awesome holiday in a beautiful town! Thank you!
Family McClelland - 30 December 2010
We had a lovely holiday at the Hotel Palace and in Bad Hofgastein. We felt the hotel was great value, the accommodation was spacious and the food was very good and excellent value ? especially with the wine and beer included. Michela?s arrangements for the private ski lessons actually worked out very well ? the ski school was very nice and our instructor was a super girl and she was very patient with us. We extended her services for a couple of extra days and felt it was very worthwhile ? I would recommend this option for other beginners as well. Bad Hofgastein suited us very well ? we prefer the slightly quieter environment rather than the frantically busy and very hectically social setup, the slopes were great ? lots of options and although the local people were very stressed about the lack of snow, it did snow hard while we were there and then the rest of the ski slopes opened. We would definitely go back and are talking about going with our children in a couple of years from now ? although they would probably prefer more of the bright lights.
Jane Thompson - 22 March 2010
We had a fantastic holiday in Ellmau. Our transfers to and from the resort were very efficient. The staff at the ski hire were friendly and helpful ? everything went very smoothly. Thanks for the backpack full of goodies. We particularly enjoyed the champagne. Hotel Hochfilzer was great. Friendly, efficient staff, excellent food and great facilities (pool area etc). Our room was very basic but clean and comfortable. I did however feel that the bathroom was not up to 4 star standards. We had no extractor fan or ventilation of any kind and the shower was very tiny ? could do with a revamp. The skiing was amazing! My husband has skied a lot in many different resorts and said it was the best he has experienced. Ellmau is small and quite compared to the other resorts we have visited (Verbier, St Johan, Saalbach, Kitzbuhel, Neustuft, Lech). The location of the hotel couldn?t be better.
Jarvie Family - 28 February 2010
We had the most fantastic time and can only recommend this package to anyone who wants to have a carefree, fun-filled holiday without having to think about transfers etc. The ski course and trainer were perfect and we would love to go back in a year or two ! Geena had an absolute blast and can't stop talking about her experience. Hotel Hochfilzer and all of the staff were absolutely amazing. We felt so welcome and like part of a big family. I must compliment Ingrid on her accomodation, food, friendly and compitent staff as well as the standard of service. It was a real treat. Something that was very important to us having a child was the way that Geena was treated by all of the staff. The children and their needs are catered for, starting with childrens Buffet every evening to a play room with activities and a child minder (Hedwig was a gem and Geena loved her !) All of the staff had time to listen to her and we could see that they were very sincere. The atmosphere at the hotel was fenominal and we would be back there tomorrow if we could. This holiday package is worth every cent and we will definately be using you again in the future. Once we are settled at work again, etc I am sure that I will be able to send you photo or two.
Carla, Norbert and Geena - 23 February 2010
Thank you very much. We really enjoyed our stay, and the skiing was awesome. We found the hotel comfortable and well located, and the food was fantastic. We thought the slopes in Lech were fantastic. We tried to do as many different ones as possible, and weren't disappointed. We also did ski runs to Zurs (which was fantastic) as well as to and in St Anton (which we found not quite as pleasant and well kept as Lech's). We were also very impressed with the welcome we received. Michaela met us at the bus, and helped to get everything sorted. We could just relax and start skiing the following day. It was such a memorable holiday. We will most definitely take another ski trip within the next couple of years. I will contact you (or someone at your office) when we plan our next trip. The question then would be if we return to a place we know is excellent in almost every way, or do we try something new. We have such a lot of photos to work through with the wedding and the holiday, but as soon as we have done so, I'll forward you some for the gallery. Thank you once again for helping to make our honeymoon such an unforgettable trip!
Annamarie Stanton - 11 February 2010
The slopes & skiing were great in Hinterglem, and we did not even get to all of them. The village is very festive and all the facilities you could want were available. Quite a few T-Bar/Drag-lifts though, and these are not so good when your legs are tired, but there are enough other slopes so you hardly ever have to go near a t-bar if you don?t want to. We did not end up in Pension Wolfgang, but in the Pension hotel next door ? Almrauch (same owners). However the accommodation and service there was excellent. Salzburg was great, the accommodation good, and overall well worth a stop over. Thanks for all your help, we will probably go again at the end of this year (if we can get away from work), so if there are any specials, please send them through during the course of the year.
Ronald Stolz - 09 February 2010
Really enjoyed the first skiing experience. Thought the 5 days wasn't enough though, you just learnt to ski and then you have to pack up and leave! So the full value of the ski pass wasn't realized. Did complain to Michaela about the ski instructor on the 1st day- battled to understand his Dutch English but we battled on nevertheless. I however felt that the pace was too slow- but I guess that not all learners are on the same level. Ski slopes at Ehrenbach was quite good but challenging. Got caught in a blizzard on X-mas day so got trapped on the slopes for a while! Kirchberg is quite scenic and very beautiful, didn't get to tour rest of Austria because of schedule. Stop over at Munich was awesome as well. Hotel Brauns offered good service all round- language sometimes a barrier though! Unfortunately didn't do all the other fun stuff like skating, snowboarding, tobogganing, etc- just wasn't enough hours in the day! All in all memorable trip- just too short!
Das Lingum - 20 January 2010
Our holiday was fantastic. We all enjoyed it. The hotel was very good and the people were extremely friendly. The food was a bit too fancy. We would have preferred to eat Austrian dishes, but otherwise it was great. The ski school did a great job of teaching us to ski. On day 4 we went up to the main slopes. It was breathtaking. We are all in agreement that we need to return to Austria in the future.
Delwyn McLennan - 19 January 2010
Hi Eike, Thomas and Michaela! I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for an awesome holiday! Everything was great ( just not the snow)! Very friendly staff at the Hotel, your Organisation was perfect ( from the booking until the transfer back to Munich!) well done! Michaela it was very nice to meet you and your sons! All the best for you and your family and please send my regards to Ingrid! ( Giepies arm is better, but still blue and green) We have arrived safe back in Botswana and I am missing the cold! Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2010!

We returned from our holiday yesterday ? just in time to get the children back to school! We had a lovely time in Gotzens. Anthony (who had had previous experience) ski?d with an intermediate group and, I think, exceeded his own expectations. Colin and Julia both learnt to ski well, progressing steadily to the red slopes ? Colin was upgraded to a more advanced class and both came third in their races (not at all bad as they were competing against children who had had some previous experience). By the end of the week, Alasdair had also mastered the more difficult slopes and was awarded a gold medal for his race! I had lessons and ski?d for two days which suited me well (I don?t have great skiing ambitions) and I was able to go for walks and watch the children?s progress. Edelweiss is a good family hotel ? it was great to be able to swim or sauna after skiing ? and we managed to slip out of Munich airport just before German flights were grounded by the snow storms! Thanks for organizing it all so well.
Lesley Lambert - 13 January 2010
We had the most amazing holiday ever! The pension was unbelievable and probably the best situation you could ever be in at a ski resort. We had our beginners lessons right outside the front door and all the ski lifts a mere 100 meters and 200 meters away form us. Literally ski in ski out. My kids did snow boarding and Greg and I skied. Not easy to learn at our age, however we managed pretty well. If I had the money weÂ’d go back every year. Rose-marie at Rudi Matt was so so nice. Breakfasts were awesome and the rooms were great. People go there whoÂ’ve been staying with her for 10 years running. We met some lovely people in and thru our ski groups. It was actually nice not to have any other south Africans there as we were forced to meet other people. Maybe a little lonely for our 17 year old, however he managed to meet some young people at the Moeserwirt( the greatest mountain pub ever) on a few nights. Danced on the tables a few times, we must admit! We only took 3 days lessons, which is probably enough especially if youÂ’ve skied before. My dream came true as we had beautiful falling snow from our 1st morning for 24 hours. The organization with Ski Austria went without a hitch. The bus to and from Zurich was all on time and your representative was very helpful when we arrived. Thank you for the Goodie bag and Champagne we received. We left St Anton with heavy hearts and very stiff limbs. The time of year was actually perfect as after the snow we had sunshine and could ski without gloves and all the layers. Even suntanned a bit on top of the mountain. As I said-a dream holiday come true! The rest of our time in France was also wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of it. Except for my aching limbs when Greg dragged me around Paris at a rate of knots trying to see as much as he could-Architects!! We took many photos and to send them to you would probably be so slow. I have posted an Album on Facebook and wondered if you could take them off there. If its not possible, have a look and tell me which ones youÂ’d like me to send to you. Even our friends whoÂ’ve skied before and seen our photos want to go St Anton next time they ski, so thank you once again for all that you did to ensure us of the holiday of a lifetime.
Greg and Lorna - 27 July 2009
Well – it was just fabulous. We will go there again. The slopes were excellent and it was good being in the Pension Claudia as it has easy access to the slopes. The rooms were great. The experience was well worth it. Thank you for suggesting Ellmau
Pletschke Family - 25 January 2009
A wonderful, memorable experience for all of us so thank-you for all your hard work. We had a fantastic time and could not have expected more from Michaela and the Hotel Hochfilzer and Ingrid. Excellent added value all the time. Her staff were really great and left a great impression on the kids especially Ilknur. Hannah my 4 yr old cried when we left as she was not going to see her again.
Kritzinger Group - 15 January 2009
It was a wonderful experience and I had a great time. Ilse & Johnny at Pension Tyrol are very friendly and the home cooked meals where excellent. I am glad that I have taken advanced ski lessons, because I gained so much confidence that I was able to ski anywhere on the slope. In general I found the people in St. Johann very tourist friendly and it is with out a doubt a beautiful ski resort. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Joe Maarth - 15 January 2009
Thank you, yes, we had a great holiday and the skiing in Austria was the highlight of our trip. We in fact wanted to try and extend our stay but there was no place available. Austria is a lovely friendly place and the hotel and food was great. Just a pity it had to come to an end. We loved the skiing - there is so many more slopes that we would like to ski though. Michaela and her team did a great job at making us feel welcome and sorted out any issues that we had.
Peter Baretta and family - 10 January 2009
Thank you very much for a stunning holiday! All the arrangements were perfect, the skiing was fantastic and the even the weather was outstanding. The village of Ellmau and especially Room 203 in the Hochfilzer (with Ingrid and her fantastic chefs and team!) were exactly what we needed after a long and difficult year! Thank you very much!!
Allen Swiegers and family - 10 January 2009
On behalf of our entire group, I just want to extend a BIG thank you to skiAustria for an absolutely amazing holiday in Schuttdorf (Zell-am-See). We had a fantastic time, our stay in the Glocknerhof hotel was (like the previous time) an absolute pleasure and the skiing was great! Thanks to your team (both here and in Austria) for all your arrangements and ensuring our trip went smoothly and without any hiccups. Thank you also for handling the misunderstanding with regard to the toboggan evening in such a professional manner. We eventually had a great fun night out on the slopes of Piesendorf. Thanks further for the hampers and rucksacks. We appreciate the gesture.
Karen Roets and Party - 09 January 2009
Once again, a THANK YOU for the wonderful experience we have had in Austria! Everything went so smooth, organised, and reliable, and the food was AMAZING! (and so was the ski, the snow, the people, the mountain, Kitzsteinhorn, etc etc etc) A double ‘thumbs-up’ for skiAustria Tours! Will contact you soon to arrange the next holiday!
Johan Kruger - 05 January 2009
We had an amazing time in St Johann and yes the Hotel Brueckenwirt was great and the slopes perfect. Ryan had an amazing birthday and after Steve requested Micaela to arrange something in the room in Munich, she went one better and gave him a gift on the bus on route to Munich – it was a wonderful gesture which we really really appreciated. Thank you for everything you guys did - it was fantastic and I would recommend skiAustria to anyone going skiing first time !!!!
Levy Family - 04 January 2009
Our holiday was absolutely AWESOME in every respect. We loved every minute of it. The hotel was of very high standard, the slopes were perfect, and we had plenty of snow! The staff at the hotel, the ski instructors and your staff in Austria was very friendly and helpful. In short – the holiday was everything we expected and more. We would like to thank you for organizing an exceptional holiday. I will recommend your company to anyone. Thank you once again for everything. Have a great and blessed 2009!
Anneli Bosman - 22 December 2008
Thanks for the follow up mail. We had an absolutely awesome time. The trip was extremely professionally organised with everything running like clockwork. The Hotel was comfortable and all that is required from a luxury perspective. We were lucky to get some good snow at the end of our trip that made the last few days of skiing fantastic. We liked the idea of getting vouchers for lunch. We really love the ambiance in Gotzens and the rest of the South Africans on the trip were great, we made some really good friends that we may even go skiing with in the future.
Julian Malan and family - 21 December 2008
First of all I want to commend the local representative, Maria, for all her assistance. Unfortunately we had quite a long delay flying into Munich due to heavy storms. But via SMS and calls, she managed to ensure or transfer and hotel check-in was patiently waiting on us as we arrived. During the course of the week she was also very helpful with local arrangements and ski hire. Secondly, the hotel Reiterhof is really top notch. The room was very spacious, service was friendly, the facilities excellent and the food plentiful and well prepared. I suggest you recommend it to anyone willing to pay a little more for a luxury stay. With the quality of the meals included, I consider it excellent value for money. Lastly – we could not attend the sledding (Rodeln) evening as conditions were unsuitable and these evenings were cancelled by the local provider. Maria advised us to ask for a refund on our return. Please advise how you can process this for us. Thank you for your company’s arrangements and helping us reach such a lovely and fun destination.
Ben Wolmarans - 31 March 2008
Wanted to let you know that we had a GREAT boarding trip and LOVED our accommodation (Haus Matt Rudi). It really has the perfect location and our room had lovely views - also, we cant cope how lovely Rosemarie is.
Sharon Gray - 21 March 2008
The Pension was awesome, Corrina and Berta looked after me so well. I got a bit sick and had some bad news from home that upset me, but other than that, absolutely fantastic. Will be going back soon.
Suzanne Burgess - 03 March 2008
We had the most wonderful holiday in Austria. My family says it is the best holiday they have ever had and we are talking about going skiing again at the end of this year or December 2009. SkiAustria did a wonderful job and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Michaela was wonderful and Hotel Hochfilzer with Ingrid and her team is truly as special experience. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make you feel at home. We believe that that staying in a hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast is the right way to go with free time in the evenings to do your own thing. The whole package that you designed for our family was “just us”. I will be emailing Ingrid to thank her for the wonderful holiday as well as Michaela for all that she did for us in Austria.
Michael, Lesley and the Tregoning Family - 29 February 2008
We had a great holiday. The snow and skiing was absolutely fantanstic. The resort transfer was stress free. The 250km of ski slopes was a great challange and we enjoyed skiing from village to village. Our pension was so spasious- something we're not used to in London. Pension Claudia was very friendly and always happy to help and to advise us about the village etc. The only negative feedback I can give is that we found the slopes extremely busy because of the dutch school holidays. we've also been advised to avoid December and February if you want to avoid the shool holiday makers.
Yolande Harcus - 20 February 2008
We all had a great time in Ellmau and the Hochfilzer was a great hotel (the little touches Mrs Hochfilzer and her staff have come up with work really well) + the skiing and weather were simply fantastic last week. The rooms worked perfectly for us so we are all very impressed with Austria and with your recommendation of Ellmau and the Hochfilzer, so much in fact we are seriously thinking of booking again for next year. Just hope they can accommodate us given nearly everyone we talked to wanted to come back as well!
Alan & Valerie Williamson - 11 February 2008
We have returned from a very enjoyable skiing trip to Ellmau. I would like to congratulate you and your team for putting such a great package together. As you know, we flew on Egypt Air, which was very good. The aircraft was modern and clean, the service was good and the crew efficient. The only downside is the fairly long layover in Cairo on the way to and from Munich. The Hotel Europaeishahof in Munich was great. Comfortable rooms, good breakfasts and an excellent location. Munich is agreat city to visit with lots for the tourist to do. I was pleasantly surprised. The trip to Ellmau was pleasant and Michaela was there to meet us, settle us in and organise ski rental. We stayed in the Pension Claudia which was friendly, clean and comfortable. But the best thing is how close it is to the slopes and the lifts!!!!!!!!!!! They are just across the road!!!!!!! The slopes were great, we had good snow and the skiing was super. The ski area is huge with slopes suitable for all levels of skiers. I found the lift system efficient with not much waiting time. Dinners at the Hotel Hochfilzer (four courses) were a grand affair and enjoyed by all. The staff were friendly and efficient. So all in all, what more can I say? It was a really great trip, we all enjoyed it, and we all agreed that next time we will do EXACTLY THE SAME trip again.
Tommy Bach and Family - 23 January 2008
The Hotel Europaischerhof is centrally situated and it was easy to explore Munich from there. The hotel was neat and clean. The receptionists were efficient, but not very friendly. The Hotel Bauns was exactly what we wanted it to be! Excellent location, superb food and teenage-friendly! The slopes were magnificent and our five daughters each had a secret crush on Marnix, our young ski instructor from Holland!! I have to mention that the chef, Gary, never disappointed us and every meal was a culinary delight!! We stayed in a three star hotel, but had five star food - every meal! His wife, Julia, was always there to translate when the waiter couldn't understand us and we will never forget the "Frozen Pinquin"-cocktail - delicious. The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and the Austrian (German) music put us in a good mood. The kids got addicted to the tap water (from the mountain) and one evening they had nine jugs with their meal! We didn't miss the entertainment offered at other resorts, because after a day of skiing we were all exhausted. The toboganning evening was somewhat of a disaster, as it hadn't snowed for a few days and the rain made the run very slippery. I thought I was going to die as we were unexperienced and had no control over the sledge. The kids, however, wanted to again immediately, but we thought it would be irresponsible, because of the condition of the run. Only one negative comment - we would strongly suggest a stay-over in Munich or Frankfurt on the way home. It was a very long trip, especially because the bus driver took several hours to get us to the airport from Elmau. I think he got lost, because he was constantly looking at a map. He nearly fell asleep a few times and when we arrived at the airport at the wrong Terminal, we told him that we had to be at another terminal. He told us to take a taxi, as it takes 20 minutes to drive around the airport to that specific terminal. Everybody just sat in the bus waiting and he drove to the other terminal, taking the wrong road twice - we sat in front and my husband showed him the way. He had a GPS, but never switched it on. We also then had to take a plane from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Because we didn't use our ski passes for the first three days, we exchanged it and await the refund which we arranged through Michaela. It was our first time skiiing and all of us enjoyed it tremendously. Thomas, Eike and Michaela, thank you very much for all your suggestions, arrangements and assistance.

Thank you & all the best to you too for 2008. We had a wonderful holiday & the skiing was certainly enjoyed by all. We only had 1 day of snow (on the 31st Dec) & that was so enjoyed by all & a lovely gift for news years eve. With the skiers also able to ski at Kaprun etc., I believe they did have enough different slopes for all to enjoy. Zell am See is a lovely little town (I notice quite a bit bigger then most other resorts), so as a non skier it definitely was better to be there. My sister & I managed to go around a bit to substantiate this impression. We all spent a day in Salzburg as well & that was really worth while except not long enough - the bus only left after 9am & we believe it should have left at least 8 am or earlier & leave from Salzburg later.

We had the best family holiday ever ! We have been on trip to Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana, ect , but nothing else came close ! We were very impressed with everthing ! Your efforts and service were superb. We got a lot more than we have bargained for. The Hotel Edelweiss, ski school, transfers, Axamer Lizum, Entertainment, Meals - Fanatastic. We could not complain about anything, even if we wanted to ! The weather was fantastic with 6 days of sunshine. Lara and Mia enjoyed it immensely and even Lara got onto the slope with the lifts on day 4. Mia came 7th on the "Olympic Slalom" on the final day, with me taking the gold medal with fastest time in the beginners group. Belinda sprained her knee ligaments on the 2nd last day and missed out on the final day, but she is OK and already cycling and spinning. Would we go again ? YES !!!! Would we book with anyone else, but SkiAustria ? NO !!! We are already saving up for the next trip and will defintively recommend you and SkiAustria. Thank you very much for a memory of a life time and some life changing experience in terms of values, family time and priorities !

We had an absolutely fabulous holiday! There is not a single aspect which did not surpass our expectations. The skiing itself was great fun and, although we are by no means alpine skiers, we all managed remarkably well and found the 10 days almost too short to explore our new found skill. The hotel was equally fabulous – a true family hotel with excellent food, friendly owners, excellent location and close proximity to the slopes. And of course now we would like to go again – so, just out of interest, what sort of package can you put together for us for this year – anything between 3 December 2008 to 5 January 2009? Thanks also for the professional way in which skiAustria organized everything. We especially enjoyed the toboggan evening.
Karen Roets - 14 January 2008
We had a wonderful trip to Germany and Austria. The skiing was fabulous! We loved the accommodations and would definitely recommend them to others. Germany at Christmas is truly beautiful. We also took a day trip on the train to Salzburg. We had a great time. Thank you and Ski Austria for making our holidays most memorable. We look forward to utilizing your services again!! Cheers, The Mosley's

All the arrangements worked out very well and the jackets are still being worn. Having Michaela meet us was a great benefit and we were organised very quickly and efficiently. Transfers were excellent, Lech lifts and ski equipment excellent – snow conditions melted very fast on the lower slopes as this appeared to be the warmest winter in years and summer is setting in quickly. The only negatives were the ridiculous paper work required for the Austrian visas which were never looked at once during the trip while we were in Europe and Lech restaurants and bars charge very high prices – a self catering chalet for 8 people would be my choice if I went again. Thanks for your excellent service Kind regards Peter Amm

Let me start of by saying that we REALLY DID HAVE A GREAT, FANTASTIC TIME IN AUSTRIA.
It’s a place where I really would like to go again this year……. Was the first time touching snow. We had a white Christmas and that was the best experience in my live ever. Still can’t stop talking and thinking about it. Made memory’s that ill treasure for ever.
From a very, happy smiling person,

Despite the fear of no snow, everything turned out fantastic. The resort - atmosphere, people, facilities etc. - is great. We found the hotel room was a little small for the price though (maybe 1sq metre of free floor space) but was wonderfully centrally located and the staff really made up for it. Lars and his team are one in a million - please tell him this.
Even the though the bottom slopes were not functioning there was more than enough skiing (and other things to do - we went to a local ice hockey match and it was great). Also the trip to Kaprun is an easy, fine outing and the skiing there was great.
It was also easy to get around and booking a train to Munich (via Radstadt) was simple with Lars even seeing us off at the station. We were initailly puzzled when we heard that you had gone an extra mile to accomodate another couple's trasport needs to a from Zell am See - even going to the trouble of hiring a 4x4 vehicle when we had to forfeit out shuttle back to Munich, but presumed there was a good reason for this.
But altogether a great package - good combo of skiing, natural surroundings, apres ski facilities and general vibe. Well done!!
Chris du Plessis - 04 February 2007
We had the most fantastic time, I could not ski in the beginning to save my life but hang in there (was the only woman in the group who stuck it out) and I was skiing everyday non stop; the kids had a ball snowboarding and enjoyed it so much we are talking about going on another ski holiday maybe in 2 years time. The snow was great although most of the time the snow machines had to make most of the snow which is nicer to ski because when you are skiing and the snow is falling it is difficult to see and much more strenuous when you are skiing in fresh snow. The Pension Alpenrose in Zell am See was great - very homely the rooms were great and the sauna steam room etc etc was great the breakfast was good they are very helpful and kind people and if i were going back would have no problem staying there.
Ingrid Jolley - 30 January 2007
The hotel and Ellmau were excellent, we really did enjoy our holiday and we found the whole area extremely good value for money. Thank you very much Eike for your good advice on the area. The food and staff at our hotel were excellent. Adriaan and my room was perfect but I think my mum and dad's room was in amongst the family rooms in the hotel and it was very noisy with all the kids around.
Angela Woerlee - 25 January 2007
We loved Saalbach, such a pretty town and the skiing was great even though the snowfall was low. I must say that the only complaint that we have is that Schipflinger was out of town, which was a real schlep, luckily we managed to leave our skis in the ski hire depot, but found that the evenings out etc. were a problem because of where our accommodation was. We have definitely learned that location key.
Leanne Salzwedel - 21 January 2007
We had the time of our lives - the overall service from Ski Austria Tours was good and you attended to all our needs, we had no travel problems, the seats on the planes where fine, the hotel was good, ski instructor great, ski hire fine and we had good fun with Karen (host at hotel) and her kids, we also enjoyed visiting the nearby villages.
Hotel Gressenbauer: Our accommodation was fine, we didn’t realize how small our one roomed apartment was until we moved to the two bed roomed one which made us all feel like royalty.
We spent the first week in the hotels smoking dining room even though there appeared to be a non smoking one – which we spent the last week in. We enjoyed being in a non touristy place ( Hinterstoder ) and would do it again this does however result in a language problems which we had to deal with and managed to get by.
The only thing that bugged us initially (other than the smoke in the dining room) was the distance to the village, but when we heard the other family commenting on the noise the ski lift makes from about 0600am we realized that we had it quite good. Food and hospitality was good.
Thanks for a great holiday, it was fantastic and we all hope to do it again one day.
Paul Southwood - 20 January 2007
We enjoyed our ski trip immensely. The children keep asking when we are going back!

To start with the good -> Hotel Braun and especially Julia and her husband where great. We found the dinner served in hotel especially useful for the children -> they where wiped out by 6:00 pm and if we still had to go and find a restaurant things may not always have been pleasant. The hotel facilities are adequate, clean and well maintained. The food was interesting and satisfying.
Please pass our regards and thanks to Hotel Braun. We found the incessant smoking of the other guests trying but that was a problem right across Germany and Austria.
The ski school for the children was the best investment we made on the trip. It took us a day to figure out about meal vouchers and other details. The children settled in with their group and instructor quickly and really enjoyed the skiing!!
I was impressed by the ski school's professionalism, attention to detail and efforts to get us onto the mountain slopes as quickly and safely as possible.
The transfers between Munich and Kirchberg where the only let down of the trip. Having to fetch people in Munich on arrival and the bus being late to pick us up in Kirchberg. I felt that the bus driver could have phoned either hotel Braun or the hotel used as the bus stop to warn of the delays.
Finally -> we will definitely go again, we found your company's recommendations and advice very useful and will use your services in the future.

Peter van der Merwe - 20 January 2007
Well, we are back after a fabulous holiday. I just wanted to let you know it all worked out well and to thank you for your efforts on your side. Plenty of snow after day 3; all the arrangements worked out. The only thing I'd change is the hotel, as we found the Traube rather noisy and it was hard to sleep at night. However, their food was great and they are really well located. So, I will not have any trouble recommending your company and we certainly hope to speak to you again soon !
Francois Burman - 12 January 2007
Thanks for the email and best wishes for 2007 to you too. Everything went very smoothly. We were especially glad about the train tickets which we paid for in advance. Joe and Elmie weren’t able to get this from Trip Travel and obviously had to buy theirs there. It ended up being much more expensive than ours. We did a comparison (they also got 2nd class tickets) and realized how lucky we were that you did this for us beforehand. So thanks very much for that – we just realized all over again what a great job you did and how helpful and patient you were throughout. We do appreciate it very much. It snowed for two days starting on the Monday after we arrived! That was really great especially since I’d never seem real snow before. There were already snow on the mountains but this helped to make the slopes less slippery. The only downside was that it wasn’t really enough to prevent the slopes from becoming very slippery afterwards when the sun came out. I think that the skiing is much easier when there’s a lot of loose snow to slow you down a bit. But we all agreed that the venue and everything else far exceeded the lack of more snow. The Magic Mountains crew was a very nice bunch and made us feel very welcome. We took a lot of photos; I’ll send you a few soon! Thanks again for everything. The trip was well worth the money spent and something we will never forget.
Family du Plooy - 11 January 2007
I wanted to give you some feedback on the resort and hotel. Zell am See has certainly made quite an impression on us and from what we could see during our drive through some of the other resorts, it has lots more to offer and is by far one of the better ones. The lake created a very tranquil setting and it was pleasant for taking walks. The Vital Hotel Glockner Hof where we stayed in Schuttdorf provided outstanding service and nothing was too much of an effort. All the meals including Après Ski were superb. We would highly recommend this resort. Our only regret was that we booked for 1 week instead of 2 weeks but that is a reason to go back.
Sumaya Sookool - 11 January 2007
Just a short note with a bit of feedback from our trip. (You met my wife Heather and our two young kids.) The overall package was great. Pam - you can recommend the skiAustria packages with total confidence. Everything was to our expectation or in fact better. For example, the Vital Glocknerhof hotel we thought was fantastic, it really is a gem. Your association with Voorberegen works well - they were very efficient with transfers and we were pleasantly surprised that there was a representative (Diana) who contacted us when we arrived and helped us with ski equipment, passes etc. The only thing which could not be delivered upon was the tobogganing evening - but she explained that was due to relative lateness in the season. She did offer us some alternatives but we declined, they weren't really suitable for the kids - it really wasn't a problem. Thomas, maybe something to consider is a possible link via Salzburg airport? Heather and I both felt that it would be great if the transfer time could be cut (by about half, I think) if you can arrange routing to Salzburg rather than Munich. In our case we organised flights separately, so that's not at all a criticism of your package, it's just an idea.
Dave Gorin - 07 April 2006
THE HOLIDAY WAS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I can not recall the last time (if ever) everything just went right - from the transfers to the beautiful hotel to the professional Snowboarding classes and just everything. Even the weather was perfect... I am already "recruiting" for our next holiday in Jan 2008 and this time I can guarantee you the whole group of friends that were supposed to join us this year, will be there. Those that couldn't make it are so jealous from all the photos. We're hoping to get enough people together to fill up the whole Pension Claudia, so maybe you should warn Ingrid that she only has 22 months to brace herself before the South Africans hit! When I looked through the album in Hochfilzer's reception I saw all the loyal patrons who just keep on going back there - it is our definite intention to "join the club". This was only our second Snow-holiday and after the first we felt that it would be silly not to explore all the countries and resorts around the world. We've now decided that no other resort will possibly live up to our expectations after Ellmau and it is not even worth the trouble to look further. Please thank the team at Hochfilzer and Mikaela for us again.
Lindi van der Berg - 07 March 2006
We had a great time in Elmau at Hotel Hochfilzer. It is a fantastic family hotel offering very good facilities at what seem to be reasonable prices. We were there with two other families and we particularly enjoyed the indoor pool and spa after a days skiing. The management also organised evening entertainment at the hotel as well as a curling game and other activiies. We were in a comfort room which was spacious with a pretty view. The one famlly were in the top class of room (i can't recall the description) which really was quite spectacular. The room is huge with a large seating area and a spectacular panoramic view of the mountains. I think it is probably well worth the extra charge. Elmau is avery pretty tradtional Tyrolian village which is just what we wanted. We had very good snow of about a meter deep and clear blue sky for the whole week so the conditions were perfect. The funicular to the top of the mountain is very convenient because you can simply get on at Elmau and within 10 minutes you are right at the top of the mountain and have numerous runs to choose from. You can also ski all the way down to the village provided you can manage red runs. After 4 days of lessons the children could manage this althoiugh none had skied before. All in all we had a really good holiday-just did not want to come home. It is a pity that we could not organise 10 instead of 7days.
Peter Corbett - 27 February 2006
I just wanted to say thank you to you and Ski Austria for all your hard work and effort in organising my trip! I had a truly fantastic time. The transfer (in a big black merc) and the hotel was great. The hotel was beautiful, the food was awesome and the staff were so friendly and helpful. So thank you! I'll be sure to send all my clients your way as the service and experience were spectacular!
Morgan Strange - Travel Consultant - 03 February 2006
Thank you for arranging our skiing holiday in Zell am See, it was a wonderful experience. All the arrangements made by Ski Austria were excellent and your agents were friendly and helpful. Our only regret is that we didn’t discover skiing holidays 40 years ago!
Trevor and Di England - 26 January 2006
I just wanted to write and tell you that Gina and I had a fantastic time skiing in Zell em See. The snow and skiing conditions were excellent (I'm sure that you have heard of the good snowfalls) and the location was stunning. The staff at Intersport and Hotel Traube were very professional and friendly and added to our overall good experience. Many thanks for your good advice and excellent service. We will certainly return to Austria soon for some more skiing and will contact yourselves.

Our holiday was fantastic. We all enjoyed it. The hotel was very good and the people were extremely friendly. The food was a bit too fancy. We would have preferred to eat Austrian dishes, but otherwise it was great.
